'The Kitchen' Having seen this kitchen and tasted the delicious and beautifully presented food that was prepared in it, I will never again complain about our mod cons in the western world! There were two freezers and a large fridge, both run on solar power, two gas stoves and a small charcoal fired oven which was used for baking bread. All the hot water used in the camp was heated in a charcoal fired boiler that was fed from two large reservoir water tanks. And not an electrical appliance in sight! 190 | Exhausted A busy day followed by an evening of painting. I had to paint one wall before my fridge freezer arrived in the morning but loved the colour so much I got carried away and painted the whole room. Early start for the delivery and then a day at work. All go.
